Paço de Calheiros - Turismo de Habitação

Paço de Calheiros is a splendid, authentic historic house. It is very well kept and tastefully decorated, from the furniture to the paintings and ornaments. The swimming pool is big and deep with beautiful views. Also of interest is the chapel. We had two rooms in the main house.

The location was amazing. The owner was so friendly and welcoming. The grounds were extensive and we were welcome to explore. Breakfast was delicious.

The property itself was magnificent. We were given a tour of the castle by the Count whose family has owned this for centuries. For Americans, the history was an incredible treasure. There was also a group dinner hosted by the count and his wife. The food and the company (other guests) were wonderful and the experience was so much fun.

the estate was magnificent, the staff extremely cordial and helpful. gorgeous view and quiet. The only issue at all was the internet was not good. But such a memorable stay!
