Paço de Calheiros is a splendid, authentic historic house. It is very well kept and tastefully decorated, from the furniture to the paintings and ornaments. The swimming pool is big and deep with beautiful views. Also of interest is the chapel. We had two rooms in the main house.

It's a gorgeous very old manor house in such a beautiful location. The owner was very helpful and welcoming. It has fantastic facilities. Perfect for quiet relaxation. The pool, the grounds and the views were amazing. Breakfast was simple but delicious. We loved it here and would love to come back.

Paço de Calheiros was like a dream I didn't want to wake up from. It's a gorgeous estate overlooking the vineyards and Ponte de Lima beyond. It was such a beautiful location that my friend and I changed our plans and added on an extra night.

The property itself was magnificent. We were given a tour of the castle by the Count whose family has owned this for centuries. For Americans, the history was an incredible treasure. There was also a group dinner hosted by the count and his wife. The food and the company (other guests) were wonderful and the experience was so much fun.

This place is fantastic. So much history and the staff were lovely. It also has a strong connection to the Camino, which as a pilgrim was really special. The grounds are lovely to walk around. I also dined there and all the food was grown on the estate which is a classy touch.

the estate was magnificent, the staff extremely cordial and helpful. gorgeous view and quiet. The only issue at all was the internet was not good. But such a memorable stay!

Beautiful home and grounds. Good location. Pool was an appreciated treat this late in this very hot season.
